A reconnaissance drone overflew the Deniz Munitions Facility to the North West of Qasumah yesterday and spotted a number of Migs out in the open (!) near a rudimentary runway. US Army Special Forces scouts confirm that there are actual Migs at the facility. They are being repaired or refitted. They do not know if the Migs are in a flyable condition but we are not going to take any chances.

You and your flight of four F-18s are ordered to make a fast strike against the Deniz Munitions Facility to take out those Migs on the ground. You are the main SAM killer in this mission. Your primary responsibility is to take out any SAMs you spot along your flight path.

Hornet Two is the main BVR specialists. His job is to take care of any IQAAF fighters which may intercept your flight.

Make sure that Hornet Three and Hornet Four get to to the facility. They must survive to drop their bombs on the buildings.

Take off with Hornet Two and follow him at 410 KIAS and 15,000 feet ASL. He will stay at medium altitude to attract SAM radar to him. Make sure that you keep an eye on him and how he reacts. This sort of "Wild Weasel" SEAD needs a good pair of aircraft... get those SAM sites before they get him.

Hornet Three and Four will hit the Deniz Munitions Facility with MK84LD bombs. Then they will target any Migs in the air. We do not expect the Migs at the facility to launch but keep an eye on the makeshift airstrip anyway. As soon as you kill those Migs head South fast... IQAAF patrols will launch to protect this vital facility.

Two F-16s are on alert at Rafha. They will scramble as you come near them. Drag any IQAAF fighters South to them if you have to.

You must kill the half dozen Migs at the facility to gain a successful mission.

An AWACs has reported low fast movers to the North West of the theatre, heading unknown. Their last radio message indicated that a new contact was very near to them...
